What will RUBBER CITY RADIO do with Triple A WNWV (V 107.3)/CLEVELAND? Nothing's been disclosed, but alternative weekly CLEVELAND SCENE's ANASTASIA PANTSIOS is reporting that the station, being acquired from ELYRIA-LORAIN BROADCASTING, will flip the station back to its former Smooth Jazz or Smooth AC format as of DECEMBER 16th. PANTSIOS says that the staff has been informed that they will be let go as of that date but "have been ordered not to discuss their severance or the station’s format change."

WNWV, long known as "THE WAVE," flipped to Triple A at the end of 2009 after 22 years with the format.

If only FM News 101.9 would flip back to smooth jazz here in New York. If smooth jazz radio makes a comeback nationally, there's hope for my desired career.
