and we are off and running....I just don't know about Lions in the Super Bowl just yet. Will need to get by both Green Bay and Chicago just to get to the playoffs. But with the improvement that have have been making they are going to make dthe NFC North fun to watch.
Keep in mind the game is being played at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. And as we all been told countless times the Colts have complete control over piped in crowd noise, wind flow, temps and humidity which would make take a lock to win the crazy thing...right? Oh wait we have to actually win some games too? Well then lets get this season rolling!
I think the realy story this year will be just how serious players were about staying in something close to playing shape. There is likely to be some sloppy football in the early going and some teams may never catch up.
They had better get their tickets now if they plan on sitting together in the same section. However, I don't see the Lions actually playing in a Superbowl.

The Colts are paying Peyton Manning the same salary as Tom Brady? Peyton has a 1-1 Super Bowl record. Tom has a 3-1 record. At least Manning knows he does not deserve to be paid more than the best QB in the game.
I'm picking the Patriots and Eagles!

Manning took less then he was offered for the good of the team to allow them to sign others. Have to agree Brady does have a fine Super Bowl record....but when was the last time he did it? There are two things I am sure of 1)Brady and Manning are the two best in the game at the moment and 2) we are bound to argue about it for the rest of the year....ah it is so good to have football back once again!
