Belichick wants to change the rules on extra points and kickoffs or do away with them.

N.E. coach rails against odd plays

Makes sense to me.

I wish Goddell would stop tampering with the game. He has ruined the exitement of the kick off. Belichick is right about the PATs since people rarely miss them.

The Colts should watch how the Patriots do business. The Patriots have the best QB in the game in Tom Brady yet he is backed up by Brian Hoyer who could start for most NFL teams. Ryan Mallett is already better than Curtis Painter. It makes the Colts QB corp look bad when Kerry Collins gets a 4 million dollar contract to back up Peyton. If Manning is out, the season is over for the Colts!

Reggie Wayne is worried about Collins learning the Colts playbook. Everyone knows the Colts playbook! The problem is that Peyton seems to be the only one who can execute it.

No doubt the Patriots won't be as disoriented as they appeared to be Saturday, but still, don't want to take anything away from the Lions. They'll be a joy to watch this season and should make things interesting in the NFC North.
And the Raiders - scored 20 but lost by 20. That can't feel good going into opening day.

Hmmmm. Cowboys cut center Andre Gurode. The O-line will be younger, which translates into quicker, more athletic and less injury prone. A move that's long overdue. However, with 3 new starters, and Kozier moving to right guard, chemistry and lack of experience can be major issues.

The Cowboys needed to go younger and faster on defense too. Bernard Berrian easily out ran the Cowboys on a deep post route. Romo is going to be running for his life!

I like Berrian, but I submit it's a pretty sad statement for your defense that he can get loose like that.

Vick gets a $100 million deal over 6 years with the Eagles. Top organizations seem to be more willing to pay employees the market rate while organizations like the Titans are slow to make decisions. The Titans will eventually lose both the employee and the money.

The Cowboys need to attack more on the front end. You can't let a strong armed QB like McNabb sit in the pocket all day. It puts too much pressure on the DBs.

Theismann rips Redskins' Banks for hot dogging

Looks to me like he broke the plane, so the refs made the right call. Still, I agree with Joe. Make sure you're in the end zone before you do stupid stuff.

Colts hire Jim Tressel as ‘gameday consultant’, but where’s his suspension?

The universities and coaches allow scandalous environments and situations to exist as long as no one finds out and the team is winning. Terrell Pryor was suspended for five games in the NFL. If Pryor had taken a job at Walmart after leaving Ohio State, should he have been suspended five working days? Goddell is not consistent in this matter!
