While searching the net for a review of the recent Spyro/Ripps gig, I happened upon a site the spoke of a 4 song Spyro Gyra set culled from the bands appearance at the Bitter End. I think King Biscuit was mentioned. The set was Shaker Song/Letticia/PaulaPawprints/Pygmy Funk, if my memory serves me well. Interesting. This is just months before a musical classic-one Morning Dance-would launch the band to the forefront of contemporary jazz. Still there 33 years on.
