I think this guy has been around for quite sometime. I believe he made his mark in electronica/dj type music and just happens to be a killer bassist. I saw an interview with him not too long ago. I'd put his music in the same class as Victor Wootens solo bass work. Sorta Avantgarde/experimental fusion.

He is categorized as a drum 'n' bass artist. The music usually features fast drum breaks and heavy bass.
