Some game was it not? Thought we had it until that great run back on the kick off. I know this ment a lot to Rex to beat Manning and the Colts after last year. You had made a comment some time back about how Colts fans would have loved to see Jim Harbough replace Jim Caldwell has head coach. Not sure just what info you were basing such a wild statement on. Frankly giving the state of the team physically, I think he should be considered for coach of the year. To get this team as far as he did says something.

I know one thing after the past five weeks of nail biting games I may be in need of pace maker for this old ticker of mine.

As for the early game, doubt anyone really saw that coming. The defense sure did not and they showed it. Sad wshen your quarterback throws for over 400 yards and still gets beat. Should the NFL rethink the seeding process? Before I left Indy last week I was watching MIke & Mike on ESPN and Greenburg was ranting on and on about it. My answer is no they should not. If want home field advantage, win your division if you can't do that then hit the road. We more then likely will not see a 7-9 division winner for some time. Besides given the fact that the Seahawks beat up the Saints renders it all a moot point.

I got no problem with a 7-9 team staying home. If you're the best, you should be able to win anywhere, especially against a team with a losing record.

A good day for USC Trojan alum, eh? Pete Caroll and Mark Sanchez! For a second year quarterback-to win on the road in the playoffs-that has to be credited as impressive. Someone who`s been posting in this thread owes Mark an apology. Dudes been cool under pressure and has made big plays all season. Wow-beating last years AFC Super Bowl rep- wow-impressive. Manning will be back-when his team and receivers have a healthier year.

You've got to be kidding! You are acting like the Colts are the only team in the NFL that had to deal with injuries to key players. Jim Caldwell gets no pity prize for consolation. Jim Caldwell most likely needs to revise the off season training regimen to prepare the soft Colts for the hard rigors of the NFL.

Sanchez did not throw well but he made the throws that really counted. Jim Caldwell should have not called the time out before the play that put the Jets in position to make the winning field goal.

Revis earned his pay by taking Reggie Wayne completely out of his game. I heard that Wayne had a diva moment!

I feel the NFL should revise the seeding of teams. I don't think teams that win weak divisions should be given the home game automatically.

I think he has a future, but he is not yet to considered among the leagues elite just yet. The Jets have done a great job tdo taylor an offense that fits him well. They won yesterday with some great running in the clutch. Mark damn near gave it all away with some real bad passes near the end. If he had actually been faacing the team that played in last years super bowl the mistakes he was making would have stood out more. But again there is more upside then downside to him and in that offense he has time to grow and get better. Hell Manning was not Manning in the begining. Takes time for anyone to develope. The one think I noticed about him is that even when things were not going well there he does not panic stays cool.

While I liked what Pete Carroll did ofensively, the outcome of that game was WAY more about New Orleans COMPLETE dfefensive breakdown. Had to be 40-50 missed tackles at least. I expect Seattle to get destroyed next week.

Jets at New England? The ever so erratic Sanchez versus Brady? The line should be at least 20. Another 45-3 route?

I agree with a re-seeding as the playoffs start.

The one team that everybody's saying shouldn't host a playoff game was the only home team to hold serve against the wild cards.
Fascinating.

Isn't that the truth. Well so much for the need to reseed for next year. I must say it was a great weekend for football fans. There is a reason why the games get played on the field not in the minds of fans or sports writers or game players. Even though my guys get an early out this year it was all great fun to watch.

Mark Sanchez-won-bottom line. It`s a real loser who denigrates a player, then 2-3 weeks later, instead of apologizing, tries to minimize this 2ND year players` winning a playoff game ON THE ROAD-against one of the best QB`s in the game. I have friends in NY who have a in in the Jets training room. Let`s just say that Sanchez`s throwing shoulder is pretty flocked up-causing him to short arm+sail passes.BUT-in crunch time-did he deliver? Yes. He`s not Joe Montana/Favre/Brady, But he IS a 2ND year QB who fought through an injury+ won on the ROAD vs the defending champs of the AFC. Bottom line-no IF this or that about it. RE: the Colts injuries...Manning wasn`t just missing a player here+there. At MOST positions Indy was starting 2nd or 3rd stringers. Not an excuse-but an explanitory REASON for the fact that Indy didn`t look like the same 14-16 win team-heck-they WEREN`T. Moving on-Vick impressed me even in losing to the Pack. He put the entire Eagle team on his shoulders+nearly willed them to victory.GLAD GB WON!
