Don't kick the ball to OL Dan Connolly because he could go all the way. I have never seen a 300 plus pounder return a ball 71 yards. The Patriots have another weapon!

Ouch-what a season for Brett Favre. I might be tempted to do the Monday morning quarterback thing and say he should not have returned play this year. But I can`t. Despite the fractures in the foot/ankle, the shoulder strain, and now the frozen field caused concussion...well just one of them seasons, eh? I can`t say he is physically washed up like we obviously saw in Joe Namath or Sonny Jurgeson in their last seasons...Favre still has as much zip on his passes as anyone. And his enthusiasm has been there. Seems as if all the injuries he avoided for 19 seasons call all at once. We may have seen the very last of one of the all time greats. HERE`S TO YA BRETT!

I hope he plays the season finale. Give him a chance to go out on his feet.

Both Brad Childress and Leslie Frazier have wasted good coaching opportunities because they put Brett Favre's legacy above the Vikings.

I am not so sure about that. I am one of those who did think Farve should retire even after last year, but not because I felt he has lost the ability to play. Rather that age would start to take its toll and injuries would come at a more rapid rate. Now the Vikings did screw up by letting their back up go, but when you have a guy who last missed a start sometime in the middle ages maybe they thought it was not all that bad an idea. Look what the guy did for them last year, can't call that a coaching mistake. This year had the injuries, he still has a lot of skills to offer, but at his age the beating to his body each week will have an effect. I would like to seem him play the last game have a great game and then retire for good to the farm.

Colts 31 Oakland 26 that's three down and one to go! And and we have Addai and Rhodes back as a running tandum. Seems like old times/

Chargers lose; Chiefs win West.
What's up with that Bears-Jets game? 72 combined points with two highly regarded defenses.

I think the Colts are already in since the Jaguars are too soft. The Titans, Jaguars, and Texans need to develop mental toughness and better defenses to beat Peyton Manning.

Every dog has its day in the sun. The West is about all the Chiefs will win. Hopefully, the Chargers will play at a high level all season next year.

Unlike the NBA, baseball and hockey, the NFL has no pity on good teams that sleepwalk September and October. The Chargers must break this habit.
