The Saints are so 2009. Atlanta is who everyone is talking about in 2010.

You may be right. Time will tell.

The Chiefs could win the division with Cassel, but they're not going anywhere without him. Mathematically, they could get a wild card, but I believe only 1 AFC West team will make the playoffs, be it the Chiefs or the Chargers. The wild cards will be Ravens and Jets or Steelers and Jets.

I hope Chiefs fans are not expecting Matt Cassel to be their savior after having an appendectomy performed. Ben Roethlisberger had the same surgical procedure a few years ago and it took sometime for him to get back into form.

Mike Shanahan is benching McNabb in favor of Rex Grossman? If McNabb is lucky, he'll get cut or traded by the 'Skins so he can get into an offense that is more like Philly's offense. I'm convinced that Shanahan is not a very good coach. He has demonstrated that he expects players to fit into his scheme. He seems to be unable to adapt he game plan to the strengths of the players. Shanahan won a few games with John Elway and Terrell Davis and is now looking for them in his current players. Unless Grossman has redefined his game a la Vick, he isn't going to do much better than McNabb against DeMarcus Ware & friends.

Go Cowboys!!!!

One Chiefs fan knows better than to believe that. But he's the best they've got.
I agree with you about Shanahan.

Random Thoughts....

Maybe the Patriots peaked too early. Remember the 16-0 season where the Giants took them down come playoff time.

There has to be a riff with McNabb/Shanahan. Grossman is a downgrade. Seen enough of that in Chicago. Shanahan may end up looking real bad here...

Mike Singletary (49'ers) will be fired and maybe never get another head coaching job. The mediocre Chargers destroying them Thursday night was the nail in the coffin. Very unfortunate. A great upstanding guy. Great motivational speaker but perhaps his oldschool ways would never resonate with todays players.

Wow-west coast TV game on Fox was Eagles-Giants. Exciting game that the Giants should have won, but bonehead plays and mistakes lost them the game. On the other hand I give tremendous credit to Vick and the Eagles for taking advantage of each of those bonehead plays...wow, Vick is playing the best, most complete QB of his career. He is a much better passer and still an extra weapon on O with his threat to run. OTHER game was Indy-Jax. Manning gettin it done with experience-team being held together with chewing gum, rubber bands and spit and grit. I am impressed. I did notice that the run game did just well enough to prevent the Jag D from teeing off with rush only on their mind. JETS Pitt on now. 7-0 Jets. SANCHEZ is NOT over-rated, considering he is a SECOND year QB, playing frequently well against some monster D`s.

The Giants-Eagles game was exiting to watch. I can't understand why the Giants kicked the ball to D Jax. He fumbled but recovered and saw daylight. The Eagles are too athletic for most teams to contain for 60 minutes.

The NFL needs to put the Colts in the AFC east and move the Dolphins into the AFC south. I have yet to see an AFC south team play decent defense. Jacksonville's defense is too passive.

I like that switch. Colts-Patriots twice a year. Dolphins get to stay south in December.
How about Detroit winning in Tampa?
