Jazzwriter- internal chuckle at your question re: electric football. Answer:did ANYONE?LOL-when you think about it now, incredibly ridiculous to even ATTEMPT a pass to a teenie plastic figure that more often than not was furiously spinning in a circle. Funny thing is- there were no RAC yards right? IF you "catapaulted" the cotton football and "beaned" your receiver with the ball, THAT is where the play ended right? 100-1 or 1000-1 shot to complete a pass! SO-one found the one player on your team that seemed to "run" straight(the other 9 or 10 spun in circles-right?)-gave him the ball and hoped for an opening an touchdown! Do I have it about right? Heh heh heh.

Disappointing Sunday thus far.TV games: Vikes AND Raiders both blown out. VIKES going nowhere-crowd chanting FIRE CHILDRESS! Team may have mentally quit on him. VIKES dallas and bengals the biggest disappointments in the NFL. Let`s hope Colts-NE is at least competitive! Last add re: electric football. We(bros, sisters, friends)used to get the biggest kick out of placing every player on each team on the metal "field"-then ratchet the power dial up to 10Max! Seeing the players convulse and fall over made us bust a gut for some reason.

Simple pleasures, Paul.
Speaking of the Bengals, at one point, they were up 28-7, and they ended up getting blown out by Buffalo.
Raiders were routed despite plenty of assistance from the refs, in the way of multiple personal foul penalties against Steelers. Some were deserved, but several had me going, "What are they looking at?"
Momentary aside: I'm not sure what to make of that "You're the best around" song from The Karate Kid in the new NFL video game ad.

Yeah rough day for Manning, as many pics today as he has had all season. Thought for a while there we were going to get a repeat of last year and come back from 31-14. Considering the did put up 14 in what 4+ minutes and almost got the third TD says something about the attitude of the club. To do all that with as many replacements as they have going is amazing. Of course Brady and the Pats were everything I thought they would be, this annual affair is always some of the best football around. I am concerned about the condition of Collie though. Seems he is not fully recovered from the head injury a couple of weeks ago.

Oh and yes guys I too remember the old Electric football games. Remember getting one for Christmas and at the time thinking it was great. Of course that feeling did not last all long!

Well TR808 was right about NE winning. For much of the game it appeared TR8`s 35-16 prediction was prophetic. Then the game turned into the usual Colts-Pats entertaining nailbiter. The Colts should have won that game. but alas-those darn turnovers will kill ya! I am glad my prediction that the game would be close and competitive turned out to be right. At least my uncle, an 85 year old priest@CU in Wash DC will be happy- Skins win in OT. Uncle-er FR.JOE-has been a Skins fan for 20-30 years. SKINS are one of MY 5 fave teams too, and it has been disappointing for them in recent years. Lastly-was Mark Sanchez cool as a 35 year old veteran in the last 10 minutes of todays game? AND what a perfectly thrown TD pass eh?

The Colts will face the resurgent Chargers next week. Phillip Rivers is another MVP candidate on a team depleted with injuries but I feel the Chargers are capable of going into Indy and breaking the wild Colts. Manning shouldn't wait until the 4th to get busy or else the Colts will find thenselves in unfamiliar territory. In recent years, the Chargers have owned the Colts.

Chargers 35 Colts 16

I would agree that the Chargers have been a major thorn in the Colts side over the past few years and as such I never take them lightly. On the other hand I do find your lack of respect for the Colts to be rather amusing at times. No one except the Chiefs have been able to hold the Colts to less the 20 points all season and they gave up 19. This with a line up that changes on almost a weekly basis. The game is at Lucas Stadium and that crowd may just be the difference. Look for a shootout between Rivers and Manning with a finish much like last week.

The teams that have had success against the Colts have done so by running and keeping the ball out of his hands. The Pats gave him the ball back 3 times in the fourth quarter and almost proved fatal again as it did last year. A lot will depend on just who can play this week. If Collie is solid it will make a big difference in the passing game, though Blair White is getting better and better with the more time he spends on the field. If we get even one of the two missing running backs back it could boost that part of the game. Now we do not have a major running attact, but just having one good enough to make defensive backs honor it makes for a better passing game.

I still like the Colts 38-31.

What's the deal with Anthony Gonzalez? Is he ever coming back?
Oh, and, "Go Colts!"
The Chargers seem to have awakened at the wrong time.
I have no unrealistic expectations for the Chiefs, but I want to enjoy this ride before the train hops the track.
