Love electric violin jazz so I recently UTUBED Jean Luc-Ponty "No Absolute Time" excellent tune, violin tone is unique, piano and synth and bass player first rate. Saw JLP open for Spyro Gyra some years ago-what a double bill! UTUBE Doug Cameron and you will find another spicy and eclectic electric violinist. GRP allstar band with Correa,Gruisin, Ritenour, Weckl. Marienthal,Scott.ETC. GOOD STUFF! LASTLY-UTUBE KIRK GIBSON `88 WORLD SERIES HOMERUN REMAKE-it is HILARIOUS! This kid goes to a local park, hits a ball, GRABS A CRUTCH and limps around the bases with Vin Scully`s classic call and pieces of the real Gibson HR spliced in. As the kid rounds third, his friend puts an arm around him and helps him limp home. Funny and classic.

No video here, but this is my favorite recording of one of my favorite Christmas songs. Our community chorus is doing this for our program next month. I'm splitting the verses with a soprano. We're working with a different arrangement, but if I can work it out with the director, I want to emulate Carl's last chorus (starting at the 2:37 mark), but at a lower key.
