The band is in Seattle this weekend doing a bunch of shows at the wonderful Jazz Alley. I'll be making the big 3 hour drive down from Vancouver (Canada - Go Olympics!) tonight for the later set.

Was just checking something on the venue's website and saw that Spyro was on the air yesterday at one of Seattle's radio stations. Surprisingly, it was a Classic Rock station(??) and not the local jazz/smooth jazz station. But any press is good press, right?

Anyway, below is a link to a video of Jay & Tom playing live in-studio (with a station employee fan laying down some percussion). Very cool little arrangements of Morning Dance and Schu's Blues.

For the full interview/performance go to the link below and find the March 11 - Part 3 broadcast. Click the play button to stream direct in the browser, or click the down arrow to download as MP3. The interview starts at minute 33:45

Enjoy! Can't wait to see the guys tear it up tonight.

It's been my experience that "classic rock" stations have the best jazz programs that aren't on college radio stations.

Gosh....THANKS SPYRO FAN.

I was late in viewing this, but I am now glad I caught up with it!

Pretty cool stuff.

You know, Morning Dance is still fresh, somehow...

And Schuuuu's Blues....well, what an underground gem.

Paul
