A Korean man has married his body pillow, which bears the image of a popular female anime character, in a wedding dress for the ceremony. While he is apparently the first to marry a pillow, there is a "thriving subculture of 2-D lovers" in Japan, according to the NY Times.

Some surmise that marriage in Japan is dropping off because the women aren't interested in men who sit around watching animated porn and playing video games all day to avoid reality.
