Hey speak for yourself Woody. Every time I put on my Dallas Clark jersey I just know this 62 year old with a bum knee can rise to the call on any given Sunday. Oh ok so the darn Jersey cannot return me to my glory days.....but hey when I slip into those Hugh Hefner pj's...then I am at the top of my game! grin

Quote:
"This guy's got a great clock in his head," Williams told 104.5 The Zone, via ESPN.com. "The big thing is that he throws the ball so early that we're going to have to do a good job of finding ways to get to him and when we do get to him we're going to have to make sure he gets a couple 'remember me' shots when we get there."--Gregg William, Saints Defense Coordinator

Gregg Williams plans on taking Peyton Manning out of the game. He doesn't really care if it results in a 15 yard penalty either.
Gregg Williams suggests the Saints want to injure Manning

I think the Saints would fair better against Curtis Painter.

Well all this so so serious talk about something as small as a replica jersey just called on the need for a little humor don't ya think? I mean come on...it's a shirt that looks like the one worn by a bunch of guys who get paid a lot of money to play a game that we did as kids for nothing. Seems sort of a waste of time to fuss about it so much.

Oh well guess we have to debate something in the lull of this two week period until the Colts bring home another Super Bowl trophy. grin

You guys still breathing? It's awfully quiet in here.
Just wondering if you had any last thoughts in advance of the main event.
Me, I just want a good, clean (that is to say "not sloppy") game.
What I want to see:
- Good play on both sides.
What I don't want to see:
- Late hits (especially out of bounds)
- Missed field goals under 40 yards (blocks notwithstanding)
- Laterals on any kind of return (unless it's the last play of the game)
I could think of a few more, but I'm sure you get the picture.

I predict it will be a great game. Very close...Saints may even lead at halftime. But the Colts will make the neccesary adjustments at halftime, Manning figures it out and the Colts win by at least a touchdown.

I'm not a fan of either team but I'm happy for the Saints.

The Colts played a great game. But things are quite happy here in Saints land (Who Dat Nation).

Actually, I am a much bigger fan of Arena Football, and it should be starting soon.

Peace and goodwill.

The Colts did play a good game....but tonight the Saints played a better one. They played very well and deserve the honor of being the super bowl champs. I would think things are pretty wild down in the French Quarter tonight.

That coaching call at the start of the second half was just out of sight and may have been the changing factor of the game. A well played game, we all were talking about how few flags were thrown. For all the talk about giving Manning a few remember me hits, it was a very clean game. Nice to see a game that was free of show boaters, just two teams going out and taking care of business. Tonight the Saints did a better job of that and my hats off to them on a well earned victory.
