Concert Fans, BEWARE!


There's a train wreck about to happen and consumer groups say YOU will be the victim if the two most powerful corporate interests in the live concert business get their way. But you can help stop the merger of Ticketmaster and Live Nation. The government needs to hear from music fans now. Tell the Department of Justice that you're against these monopolies amassing illegal power over consumers, before it's too late.


If you agree with the consumer groups and lawmakers, make a difference and LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD NOW.

Clear Channel spun off 2 affiliates - Broadcast Architecture which consults on playlists and Live Nation.

LiveNation operates 117 venues, including House of Blues (acquired in 2006) & will control music/artists via its record label. Artists & Management know that there will be contracts for the arena tours to support the recordings.

Clear Channel operates 27% of US radio stations.

This monopoly will control records,concert venues, broadcast playlists & ticket prices.

The music we hear - in all broadcast forms - and the concerts we are offered - will be further controlled by this monopoly.

If you think that you don't see or hear your fave jazz group as much as you should..... then please be concerned about this and speak up. We didn't stop Clear Channel's control via Broadcast Architecture in the 90's - and the result was the death of many Jazz stations & labels.
