What preceded this was Mala Brooks, the alderwoman in this video, repeatedly interrupted proceedings because she wanted to talk about a motion that hadn't been voted on while the mayor and the rest of the board wanted to proceed with the rest of the agenda. After refusing to allow other board members to talk, Mala was ordered to leave. When she refused, the police were ordered to take her out.
That's when the fun starts.
At one point, Mala can be heard telling the officers: "This is my mama's yard." Her mama, by the way, was mayor until she was voted out last month. And the matter that the new mayor wanted to discuss involved some unauthorized expenditures Mala and her mom used for "travel/training."
Warning: Near the end of part 2, Mala utters a racial epithet, which makes no sense because, well, you'll see.
