That's exactly why we are in this mess now. The so called conservatives have done nothing but stand aside and watch destuction for years--it's the status quo for them. Don't you think it's totally illogical to expect a mess that was years in the making to be resolved in a few months?

If you ask me, the submarine sank years ago and President Obama has to salvage what's left. I can't really trust a person who complains about reading legislation when it's their job to help write it. John McCain found time in schedule to read Palin's book.

No, dude you are wrong. Look at the polls, look at the accomplishments, jobs, unemployment, deficits, Afghannistan, Iraq. Our president is way over his head. Not a single thing he campaigned for has happened. He said he'd fix it and change things and it continues to get worse. I'd take Bill Clinton in a heartbeat. At least he understood economics.

The president can't solve all of the problems by himself. That's why it sickens me to see the total lack of cooperation on legislation that seeks to improve the health care system. The GOP look more like they are trying to savotage the process. Look at the polls in regards to GOP congressmen. The people don't necessarily see them as a solution or trust their views.

Why didn't you say "Bush in a heartbeat"? Even you recognize the failures of Bush! Now, you expect Obama to pull a dot.com boom out of thin air when there was a total dismissal of science education under Bush.

That's where the difference lies. The GOP does want to improve upon it. But we don't want a complete 2,000 page "pull the wool over the eyes" overhaul.

ANY improvement that doesn't include tort reform is inept.

I am assuming the tort reform you want is over malpractice? I would like to see that myself. I admit I have not read the 2,000 pages it took to spell this out, but I can't help but wonder if it could not have been done in a more limited manner. Frankly I would prefer that take top members of both parties and lock up in room until them come to some agreement on this.

The table of of contents tell you the basic bullet points of the bill. If the bill contained a small amount of pages, these same people would argue that the bill isn't comprehensive enough! This bill isn't about solving the problems of doctors. It's about providing affordable health care insurance to all Americans.

This is not about problems of doctors. It's about oportunistic people and lawyers. You may want to review what tort reform is about and it's cost implications. Yes, providing AFFORDABLE healthcare to all Americans. There is no affordable option on the table now.

The fact that the Republicans are arguing over fonts and margins tells me that they have nothing to add to the process. Don't these people have staffs to explain the fine points? Instead of grandstanding, maybe they should get serious.

You arguement is irrelevant because you probably haven't read one page?

As one example of the idiocy, the left is claiming that by raising this mammogram rationing issue, conservatives are politicizing health care. But the left has it exactly backward: it is Obamacare that is guaranteed to politicize every single medical decision between you and your doctor. When the government becomes responsible for providing everyone’s health care, everyone’s health care becomes everyone else’s problem. Is that what you want?
