Hey, Phil, I was passing through the Memphis area yesterday and happened to catch the U. of Memphis jazz station playing a song from that release. Pretty awesome.

Hi everyone! I am still listening to straight-ahead jazz, so I have been going to those kind of forums lately. I do miss all of you though. Here is what I have been listening to:

Chris Potter - Moving In
Sonny Rollins - +3
Benny Golson - Remembering Clifford
(I got these at a great jazz sale at www.oldies.com.)

Joshua Redman - Beyond
Christian McBride & Inside Straight - Kind of Brown
Donald Harrison - The Chosen

All of these CDs are new, and I like them all. Peace and goodwill.

You should really check this one out. To be sure it's straight-ahead jazz in its approach, however most of the arrangements and playing have a very nice swinging, yet tasteful appeal. I believe most of you will like this one.

I agree; that is one fine CD. Peace and goodwill.

I am listening to The Pat Metheny Group Imaginary Day Live. I made a CD from the DVD. I like the PMG much better live, so I record CD's from the concert DVD's. Peace and goodwill.
