Four Corners was the first Yellowjackets recording I ever owned. Fell in love with it right away. Wildlife (both the studio version and a concert rendition on Live Wires) may be my favorite YJ song of all. (Cape Town, The Spin and Freedomland are up there, too.)

Woody: "Four Corners" is one of those records that I'll never get tired of, there's just something magical about it.. and yes, the "Live Wires"-version of "Wildlife" is freakin great! Speaking of "Live Wires", what a spectacular disc THAT is!! Just amazing...

The other songs you mention are among my top choices as well. Man... they're such talented musicians, not to mention their abilities as songwriters! I really think that is their forte.

I saw them live here in Stockholm recently, they sounded fantastic (as always). However, I gotta say that I'm not that fond of their "new" drummer, Marcus Baylor. Don't get me wrong here, he's obviously a gifted drummer, but compared to Will Kennedy - who's one of my all-time favorites - he's just not at the same level!

hbh: Yeah, I got a copy from Jonathan like a week ago (I play bass on the track "Day After Day"). It's a great CD, I highly recommend it!

Jonathan and I attended the same high school some years back, and then he went on to study at the Royal Academy of Music here in Stockholm along with my drummer, so I've known him for a while. He played keys on the title track of my CD "Luna Nueva" last year, so a couple of months ago he returned the favor (so to speak) when I got an invitation to play on "Day After Day"... smile

Btw, if you haven't heard his first release, "Love Birds", you should check it out.. I think you'd find it to your liking!

Johannes, Chris Mann wrote a review about Love Birds:

But Jonathan didn't send me his second album for review.
