1) I second that about the re-arranged Incognito....Julio's solo, and Jay's solo's are off the charts, eh?(oh Schuu's ain't bad near the coda either)
2)Big Dance Number- It just goes all over the place, and of course, that two and ahalf minute Schuu showcase staright ahead is one I rewind over ands over.
3) Deep End---what can ya say....I just love the call and response interplay at the end between Jay, Scott, and Julio....oh and SCOTT's solo!!
4)Jay's face when Julio goes into his solo on Dance Number, and again, when Schuu starts the synth solo at the end of Capetown...you see Jay really 'feeling' the music, almost like he is a fan at that moment playing air guitar or air synth in his head!!'
5) The FANS faces, gestures and dances...just great.

6) Sorry....forgot to mention "Para Ti"....I have watched THAT one 50 times and it still kilss....Julio's solo, especially when ya see him click his volume knob up a few notches....Joel's solo, and Jay's take my(ansd HIS)breath away solo near the end. Julio and Scott playing the same notes as and accent at the end of Scott's short solo "wham"!!

I love the whole concert...have seen it like 200 times !!! Some of my favourite moments to add to the ones already mentioned by others : Dream Sequence- it just KILLS me , I love so much how Jay plays...and the ending when Julio and Joel look at each other and you can see Joel saying to Julio : WOW !!! The "fake" ending of Incognito ! And talking about fans faces...well, they simply show sheer happiness, which is what one feels when listening to Spyro Gyra

I really like the whole concert. I especially like when Jay thanks the crowd for their civility. Peace.

I talked to Jay about this, actually. There is nothing political in his affermations, he was talking about the culture/society.
M
and BTW, since when a "great" musician can not have an opinion beside music?

and BTW, since when a "great" musician can not have an opinion beside music? That's not the way I took it, but I'm glad to hear he meant something different. I have no problem with an entertainer or anyone else having an opinion. That's part of what makes this country great. We are all free to express our opinions. I'm just saying that most people don't want to hear political statements (whether it's something they agree with or not) when they are there to enjoy a great evening of fantastic music. Anyway... I don't mean to make a big deal out of it. I was really just making what I think is a relatively unimportant comment. I think Jay is great... as both a musician and a very nice person. There's not a saxophone player anywhere I would rather listen to, and there's not a band anywhere that I would rather listen to than Spyro Gyra!!!

Gee, I did not mean to start anything. I just like the comment. Too much of the world is rude, so it is nice to know that there are places out there where people treat each other well.
Spyro Gyra is one of the best bands I have ever seen since I started going to concerts in 1974, and I am anxious to hear the new CD. And...I am going to watch the DVD right now. Later....

I love the way the DVD doccuments the fact that for Spyro Gyra, for all the virtuoso playing, ultimately it is the compositions that are first and foremost.
Also, on the two "ballads"....tracks two and four, the band shows that that term, "ballad" does not have to mean wimpy, syrupy or boring.
Those two ballads are full of drama and energy....and showcase that for all the other times that the band loves great flurries of rapid fire notes, they have the other side covered as well:
The joy of "that one note".
Lastly, I love how each band member signals to the others that they are finsishing their improv's and letting the others know that they will be going back to the main theme.
Paul
