Richie Goods & Nuclear Fusion - Live at the Zinc Bar
Still on track 1 of this, but with a start like this, I must say this is pretty good. The opening track is a cover of Elegant People. I know, most of us cringe at the word "cover," but this being an off-the-beaten-path type song to begin with, it's not done to death. Further, this arrangement is very Weather Report-ish but fresh.

I am trying to manage the large amount of music I received as gifts for Christmas and my early-January birthday, or music I bought with cash gifts. So I have listened closely to the following so that I can make two anthologies:

Rick Braun Night Walk
Rick Bruan Body and Soul
Brandon Fields self titled
David Bach 5 Thousand Words

I also have been on a fusion kick:

Mojo Tapestry
Stride Music Machine
Devil's Slingshot Clinophobia
Ohm Cicus of Sound
Jimmy Herring Lifeboat

Peace and goodwill.

Any of you familiar with Allison Miller?
I'm giving a first listen to a recent release by pianist Linda Presgrave. Allison is on drums.
Wow, she's smokin' hot.

Every once in a while, a jewel shines among the preview copies I get. Occasionally, I'll mention them here before they make it into my regular rotation.
Then, there's that one that, at least on first listen, really makes me pay attention.
Today, it's Jon Burr Band's "Just Can't Wait." A very good mix of blues and jazz with a cool rhythm section, Bob Mintzer guests, and the vocals are excellent. Oh, and it's all-original music.

Hey Woody . . .

I just downloaded the Jon Burr Band "Just Can't Wait" release on iTunes. As usual, iTunes does not very often make available added information on their music files.

I know the vocalists names on the release but need to find out which of the 14 tracks they are the featured vocalists. You have the liner notes defining the tracks Laurel Masse, Ty Stephens, Yaalin Ballin, Hillary Kole and Tyler Burr perform on?

Thanks in advance for any information here.

Phil

Sure do:
Ty Stephens: Just Can't Wait, Been Here All Along, None of Them Is You, I Understand You're Leaving Me (one of my favorite cuts so far), Rainbow Over Harlem, Nobody Said It Was Easy, Dancing With a Stranger.
Yaala Ballin: Please Tell Me, Eden by the Sea, Sea Breeze.
Laurel Masse: Song of a Broken Word.
Hilary Kole: Another Kind of Love.
Tyler Burr: It's Only Love.
