You're welcome, Bulldog. Hbh is right in that we have to adapt to changing conditions, but that doesn't mean we have to enjoy it. When I know what I want, I find it - somewhere - and order it, but that's rare. I too have experienced the frustration of waiting for the one in-stock CD while the vendor delays shipment until the full order can be completed. And Phil scores a major point with the iTunes phenomena: no information. Even with rock, pop or soul, I want personnel listings and songwriting credits. That's even more important with jazz. 8-track of Shaft, eh? Man, you ARE old, haha. Hey, don't feel bad. I was spending the summer with my older sister when I discovered her husband's copy of the 8-track. While I loved the music, it irritated me to no end that Cafe Regio's was split between programs 1 and 2.

Mike Stern!!
Just saw him in a tiny club in Greenwich Village. It was very lively, and then Mike started tuning his guitar. At that point, everybody started whispering as if they were in church. It was wild.
Looking forward to seeing him with the Yellowjackets next month.

I agree with jazzwriter in that when I know what I want, I get it. As of now, I have most of the Spyro Gyra Albums, Kirk Whalum, and Eric Marienthal. I have songs here in there from Peter White, Euge Groove, Phil Perry, and a whole lot of others. But I recorded them off of my soundcard while playing them using rhapsody. But, as Phil said, there's little information given. But even though I have most of the music, I want a hard copy, a CD. I bought my third Spyro Gyra Album at Best Buy. I wanted to get "Wrapped in a Dream", but got "The Very Best". Last year I picked up "collection". Now the discontinued albums of Spyro Gyra are on Amazon, which is where I found "Collection". I plan on getting "Rites of Summer" and "Fast Forward" soon.
But as for new music, I listen to the radio, TV, and just look for new artists to listen to. And of course still listening to everyone I know.
