I was watching the Weather Channel and the local forecast came on with a Rippingtons song. It was the additional import song from the 20th anniv. release but was a completely different version of the track I have. Anyone know anything about this track? I think I got it from someone on the board and was called Rendezvous? Did they also re-record it?
Disc: 1 1. City of Angels 2. Celebrate 3. Costa del Sol 4. Bingo Jingo 5. Eternity 6. Six Four 7. Rainbow 8. Twenty 9. Anything 10. Kiss Under the Moonlight 11. 20th Anniversary Bonus [*]
Kat, thanks for the info and I think I remember reading these regarding the bonus track. Someone had shared a link and I put the bonus Rendezvous in my Itunes. This song I heard on the Weather Channel tonight was this but with a slightly different twist in the melody but familiar enough I recognized it.

I couldn't find a Ripps song called "Rendezvous" on iTunes. And on Amazon.com, the bonus track on the "20th Anniversary" import was another version of "City of Angels."
Song wasn't actually on itunes, I just put it there to get on my ipod. Sorry for the confusion. It has the title of Rendezvous though. Wish I could remember who had posted the link. It was from this BB. If I remember it also said 20th anniversary Japan Import Track. Chris

I remember back in college getting the local forecast and they'd play "Weekend In Monaco". I actually saw them a few weeks prior to that album's release at the old Kansas City Blues & Jazz Fest (may it rest in peace).
Rendezvous is on Eric Marienthal's Turn up the Heat. Great CD if you haven't checked it out yet.
1. Everything She Wants 2. Lefty's Lounge 3. One Day In Venice 4. Takin' It To The Streets 5. Love Don't Live Here 6. Sugar 7. San Marcos Square 8. Rendezvous 9. Hold On 10. Hangin' On The Boardwalk 11. Remember Our Promise
Listened to Rendezvous and Eric's version is the one. I have this CD and didn't remember the song. It is the same song, slightly different, the Ripps used as the Japan Import song on 20th anniv. release. Mystery solved. Thanks for the responses!
