First, I will go with God Is Cool by James Ranka. On CD baby I gave it four stars. I really like seven of the ten tunes, which is about average for me. I would have preferred less reverb on the snare drum and more bass guitar than keyboard bass, but the tunes are solid, and I will have no problem listening to it for years to come.

Next, I'll go with Figures of the True by Ray Lyon. This music is certainly in the ballpark with The Pat Metheny Group, a band I much prefer live. I actually like Figures of the True better than my Pat Metheny Goup studio albums. It is music one can relax to or listen carefully to and get lost in.

Last, it has to be True North by Pat Coil. I have several albums where he plays as a side man. This is classic jazz piano trio stuff, a genre that I like quite a bit. This one a keeper and will be listened to for years to come.

Overall, I am quite pleased with this round of CDs. I am planning to do the same thing at the end of this month. Peace and good will.
