Just wanted to provide some suggestions and information for your photo submissions...
http://www.acoustic-alchemy.net/news.htmlWe love photos! But because we get so many photos from professionals and fans, the selection of what to display becomes harder and harder with each tour.
The more unique a photo is, the more we like it! Please submit your photos to our mailbox. Please size your photos to 500 pixels in width and make sure your e-mail to us is under 6 MB in size. If you're a pro, please send an e-mail and we'll give you the ability to transfer the files directly to us.
We have decided to display our fan submitted photos in a separate gallery from the pros.
If you go to the gallery page, you'll find some photos from the pros and fans from our most recent 2008 shows.
For best results, your photos should be no bigger than 600 x 500 pixels. We're looking for unique views and fun shots.... something a little different than the average photo.
Please do not submit more than 12 photos and try to stay within the e-mail guidelines, even if it means a couple of e-mails. If we have to sift thru dozens of photos - the chances are that a photo can be overlooked. So pick your best ones! We don't want you to be disappointed if we don't display all of your photos, but we are looking for unique shots....things and perspectives which are different.
We are looking into a way to upload and display photos here on MagicIsland - but the number and size of the photos will be limited.
If you have many photos to share, please consider using Flickr or Picasa - and then posting a link to your album.
I don't have the bandwidth to personally edit photo submissions from everyone. So despite requests to crop, blend, center, remove red-eye, erase objects or other people, fix flash glare.... etc - I just can't accommodate the request. The best that I can do is to re-size the photo so that it will be displayed attractively.
If you've submitted a photo of yourself with the band, I'm still working on a special display. The current "fan archive" is a little teeny-tiny, so I'm working on a better viewer for the 2008 photos.
Thanks in advance for your understanding.
