I was driving yesterday and "Gotcha" played on my MS ZUNE. Man...i remember playing that song over and over and over. That reminded me that i got "hooked" with other songs as well:

Pygmy Funk
Paula/Paw Prints
Incognito
Conversations
De La Luz
Del Corazón
Sweet and Savy
Last Exit
Old San Juan
What Exit
Serpent in Paradise
Film Noir
Big Dance Number A.K.A Star Wars Song!!
Joburg Jam!! Man....i really burned that one!!
A Winter Tale....It's #1 in my rotation
Get Busy
Easy Street.....Talk about a piano solo!!
South American Sojurn (RS Version)

The thing is that i'm still hooked with them to this day....those are the songs that i play the most from the band..and now i have a new one for the list....."Rockaway To Sunset"

Well..i would like to see your list guys!!!

Eril - I share many on your list -- as to the above comment -- I think that on the latest release -- "The Left Bank" is another Star Wars Number - it brings me right back to the bar scene from the first movie ( perhaps some of Jay's distant relatives ?? )

I would also add:

Funky Tina !!! (Yes 3 !)
Heliopolis

Jim

Okay, I see Jim's explanation of "Star Wars number" but what's yours, Eril?

Hooked:
Leticia
Galadriel
Song for Lorraine
Laser Material
Percolator
Dizzy
Sweet and Savvy
Freetime
Pacific Sunrise
Old San Juan
Oasis
Incognito
City Kids
Serpent in Paradise
Islands in the Sky
Conversations
Serpent in Paradise (AAA)
Heliopolis (AAA)
Conversations (AAA)
Schu's Blues
Islands in the Sky (AAA)
Shakedown
Mardi Gras
Sunflurry
Bob Goes to the Store
Breakout
Whirlwind
Serpentine Shelly
Nu Sungo
Claire's Dream
Daddy's Got a New Girl Now
No Man's Land
Swing Street
Fairweather
Hannibal's Boogie
Bright Lights
Para Ti Latino
Breathless
Jennifer's Lullaby
Whitewater
Inside Your Love
Walk the Walk
Patterns in the Rain
Breakfast at Igor's
South Beach
Birks Law
Same Difference
(odd that Dreams Beyond Control got a greater share than any other studio album, but yeah, I find myself wanting to play those over and over whenever that disc gets in the player)
Third Street
Group Therapy
On Liberty Road (For South Africa)
De La Luz
Westwood Moon
Midnight
Valentino's
Believe
When Evening Falls
The Unwritten Letter
Ruled By Venus
20/20
The Deep End
South American Sojourn
(20/20 a match for DBC?)
Heart of the Night (RS)
Shaker Song (RS)
De La Luz (RS)
Teardrops
After Hours
The River Between
Groovin' for Grover
Florida Straits
East River Blue
Planet J
Bump It Up
Extrovertical
Party of Seven
Film Noir
Capetown Love
Funky Tina
Monsoon
The Crossing
Wiggle Room
Wind Warriors
Chippewa Street
Beyond the Rain

Okay, that's it for now. Wrapped in a Dream and Good to Go-Go are still pretty new, so the songs from those albums haven't hooked me just yet. Well, Funkyard Dog has, but otherwise, these two are handicapped by the fact that I have so much other music (new and old), so they didn't get as many spins when I first got them as the older albums.

My Son was listening to this song (he's a spyro freak as well an also he plays clarinet) and he rushed back to hus dvd collection and played "Star Wars". He then told me "Dad...they sound very alike...maybe Jay was watching the movie" hehehe...and ohhh..i forgot to include on the list "Captain Karma"....i really annoyed everybody with that song!!

Ahh, the Cantina Band connection. Tell your son John Williams was a jazz musician before he started doing film scores.

Just played some tracks from Good to Go-Go. The Left Bank is one of the coolest songs. It's one of those "can't get out of my head" songs.

Phil listed "Birkes Works"-what record is that off of? Is it a brother track of one of my favorite tracks "Birkes Law" from DBC?!LOL! Was excited at first to see Jim Mecke, Phil, and a few others had posted! THEN I saw that those posts were 3 years old! A PARTIAL list-by the way-few if any of these lists contained SHAKER SONG and/or MORNING DANCE-too funny. 1-Big Dance Number-LIVE NSJ dvd-Julio end solo-but Schuuu-WHEW-on that two minute straight ahead turn! 2-The Deep End-live NSJ dvd@ whew again.! Scott`s solo of course-but that call and response between Jay, Julio, Scott near the coda. WOW! 3-INCOGNITO-studio- AND the NSJ dvd-Julio solo-and Jay on TENOR-INCREDIBLE. 4-Para Ti Latino-NSJ-DITTO! 5-SHAKER SONG-Road Scholars.UNIQUE! NO JAY B. And the piano trio take is incendiary! 6-De La Luz-studio AND ROAD SCHOLARS- that musical flurry following the "Sing it out-Whoaaa" section. 7-BREAKFAST AT IGORS-studio-but especially RS take-Jay Julio, and Schuu at the close-all amazing.

I think Shaker Song and Morning Dance aren't on the lists because they're always around. Performed at every SG concert. Played on radio. Covered by other artists.

Pt 2 of my list of SPYRO songs I LOVE+have OBSESSED about:1-Pacific Sunrise/Freetime/Summer Strut-in 1982, Freetime was THE record that built the jazz bridge that I could cross over from rock. I listened to PacSun+Freetime hundreds of times that year. 2-Last Exit/Old San Juan/Oasis/Incognito-Later in 1982,this sealed it! I was hooked from the opening Schu synth riff of Last Exit. Guitar solo-ditto played that solo over and over hundreds o times-as I did Jays solo and Schuu`synth out solo. OSJ and Incognito-same treatment-but make that several hundred times for those two. They are in my Spyro TOP TEN to this day! 3-City Kids/Conversations/Silver Linings Funny thing-for a guitar head like me-Tom Schuman`s synth riffs, solos were so genius that Tom`s work-even more than Jay+Dave`s was THE thing that made me a SPYRO FREAK. 4-OSJ/Conversations/Schu`s Blues/Heliopolis/Shaker Song/Harbor Nights fro AAA. 100`s of spins 4 each track-Conversations+OSJ especiallly.
