Looks like I will be able to make one of these shows, either Atl or WPB..very cool since I missed the O6 tours. Steve Oliver 3/1, Al Jarreau 3/26, AA later that week somewhere and then hopefully a decent lineup at JaxJazzFest in April. Winters end is starting to look really cool..not that we've had winter here.

Hey Shannon. I'm with you on the lineup for the Jax Jazz Fest, although I didn't go last year for being busy. It would've been nice to have seen Herbie with Marcus Miller and Terri Lynn Carrington doin' the funk version of Watermelon Man. What a rhythm section!!

Sigh...I guess I'll be waiting for the usual AA autumn appearance. But that's okay because I still have plenty of other shows to see in March and April. Can't wait to hear the new CD. I know it will be good. (No pressure \:D )

I'm dissapointed to see that the band is not coming to Central Florida on the tour. I did notice that they are returning to the States in June for a date in Phoenix. Will there be more U.S. dates following this. We don't want to miss the tour!

Hi Stewart,
Happy New Year - I've been trying to get ticket details for the WPB gig at the Harriet Himmel. I was refered by the theatre to the promoter, but they never answer the phone.
Are tickets on sale yet?
Best regards

Mike H

Interesting, i just noticed the phone number listed for the WPB concert. I too was trying to get ticket info for this... After a number of calls to the venue, finally someone called to tell me that the "were not on sale yet..." but neglected to say when they would be. If you could post that date here, that would be great.

I didnt realize it was a "benefit" concert, as it were... are the prices ticket prices reflected as such? I have not been to an event there, but it is a neat building, and should be a cool place to see AA. (after the demise of the Carefree, i was wondering where you guys would land again in the wpb area... glad u are coming back! ;\)

FYI:

I have spoken to some very nice people from the theater, and the institute that is handling this concert. The phone number listed on the AA website for the WPB concert should be (866)449-2489, not (800) as listed.

(Stewart, they were going to email this to you as well, but i thought i would share that here also...)

Would love for the band to swing through Pittsburgh. Saw you last time in town and saw the band in NYC for my birthday this past October. Great as always.

Your welcome, Mike.

Just a heads-up for you, i tried just now to purchase mine, and they don't have it in the computer yet. However, the very nice agent offered to take my name and number and promised to call me when they were... How's that for customer service? ;\)

You have a bit more of a drive than I do I see....

I'm gonna try and set up for WPB. It'll be nice to see Greg and Gary again. That rhythm section's gotta be kickin' man!

Hi Frank,

You obviously spoke to someone who cared!!. My wife said the person she spoke to was very unhelpful and simply suggested we try www.cityplace.com when the tickets go on sale

If you get a heads up on sale date, can you post it on the Island, or send me a PM.

Yeah ! its a long trip but, from having seen over 5o shows , these guys are worth it. I never been disappointed, whether it's been the duo, acoustic alchemy, full out rocking alchemy, in-dfoors / outdoors. They're the bomb (I don't know what this means - but Randy Jackson says it about those that he loves, so on that basis AA are the bomb !!!)
Regards

Mike

Absolutely, Mike, i would be happy to.

I'm about 40 shows behind you, but i totally agree... they never dissappoint, and you can never seem to get enough of them... especially live! They must be using some sort of backward-masking on their tracks that makes their fans never seem to get enough! \:\)

Mike,

Just purchased my tix to the show.

The GA tix are $45 and VIP $150.

I bought 2 GA tix... first come first seated. It's a small venue, so i don't believe there would be a bad seat in the house.

Believe it or not, the very nice lady called be this afternoon to let me know! Customer Service is not dead in Florida! ;\) (and you know what i mean!)

Good luck and have a good weekend.

Frank

Hi Frank - thanks for this. I thought all AA fans were VIP'S anyway.
Like you I'm bargaining on the fact that as it's a small venue, the GA tickets will be the ones to get. My son's 6'6" so he'll be able to see over everyones' heads anyway. Thanks for the heads up - nearer the time I'll send you a PM with my cell. It'd be nice to say hi
See you at WPB
Best regards
Mike

Further to my earlier reply,I've now bought my tickets direct from the box office, however, other boarders might want to know you can also get them via www.ticketfusion.com

Apparently the VIP tickets include food and beverage and a sectioned off area for a meet and greet after the show.

Knowing the boys, they'll still have time to chat to us "poor" fans in the cheap seats, after the show.

I can't wait to see them - for the first time in many years I managed to miss them in 2006 - when they were in the USA I was in the UK and vice versa. Fortunately my diary this year means I'll be able to see them at WPB and in London later in the year.

Regards Mike

Hi Mike... sounds good... Glad you landed your tickets as well. Looking forward to the show...

Just as a FYI for you, the concert is in a "posh" outdoor shopping area called Cityplace that also has plenty of shopping/eating if you happen to arrive early or need to catch a bite before the show. I work about 50 mi south, so i will be trying to get there around 6ish.

Stewart -

When AA comes to Atlanta, do you know how long they'll play? How long will the break be between sets?
