I was wondering if anyone has information what John Parsons is doing these days.

He has been the producer of many AA albums, including playing some of the guitar parts (he is an excellent steel string and electric guitar player in his own right) and even composing some songs (like "Until Always" and "Evil the Weasel"). That's why the other two refered to him always as the "third alchemist".

As far as I see it, he has been present on AA's albums up to "the Beautiful Game", but then his contributions suddenly stopped.

Also for me he would have been the obvious choice to take over Nick's part when he passed away (which in fact he did on "Positive Thinking" and on the subsequent tour). But I understand that he was prioritizing his own projects.

This is not to say that Miles has been a less appropriate choice. On the contrary, I believe that Miles has added some fresh and exciting ideas to the band and I wouldn't like to miss them.

Any comments and/or information are very much appreciated.

The last I heard John was shopping his own material and playing as a session guitarist with several bands and studio situations in Madrid his home town .He has never expressed an interest in joining AA on a full time basis.
