I'm mainly a bassist but keyboards is my second instrument. I, however, have not spent the amount of money on my keyboard gear as I have my bass rig/instruments. I use an old Yamaha YS200 as a controller for several modules which include a Korg X5DR, Roland Sound Canvas, Yamaha TG33 & Yamaha TG55. I've previously owned a Casio CZ1000, a Casio VZ-8, a Kawai K5R and various other gadgets. I use an Alesis SR16 drum machine and an Alesis MMT8 Sequencer. I have a Fostex VF-08 8 track hard disk recorder. I use Cakewalk Sonar 2.2XL, Acid Pro 3 and Fruity Loops software. I know it's a bunch of old crap but it works for me.

I'm a keyboardist too. I have:

Yamaha PSR 290
Casio WTK-947(I'm not sure about the number)
Roland AX-1
Akai EWI and synth module

I use Finale, Voyetra Digital Orchestrator, and Cakewalk.

I kept my keyboards from the old days, but have been thinking about a digital piano....

Please restrain your laughter, I have a really old Fender Rhodes, a Prophet 10, a DX-7 (yes, it's 20 years old !) and a Moog Prodigy. Years ago, I had the sense to dump the OB-xA and the CP-80 (it weighed a lot, and I couldn't keep moving it). I still have a Linn 9000 drum machine, too. I think I keep it all for nostalgia.

There is a cool site for all of this vintage stuff, http://www.synthmuseum.com/index.html

That's what I have! An 80's keyboard museum... ;\) Here's one, my pal (not Mr Wakeman) invented this strange instrument:

I really like the Korg Karma, especially those chord buttons on it. You play a few chords and the Karma just generates some amazing stuff for you. The keys are really weak though.

I still have my copy of Digital Orchestrator. What an easy program to use! And not CPU intensive either!

Yeah, the digital orchestrator really helped me out with some ear training and counting. A good way to start arranging if you ask me.

Yep!! It is a good keyboard !!! I bought it after consulting with Tom. He told me that Jay uses it so , i thought it was a good refference.

About the keys, i really expected the weakness. Most of the workstations have weak keys. For me is good 'cause i can play a bit faster.

Ars: I think that you can get the voyager on e-bay.
