An offshoot of bassix thread here. I've been lusting after a couple of Gibson models. Gibson Les Paul Custom in white, A three pick-up Gibson SG with Tremolo, and a Gibson Firebird VII. Anybody have one these they want to sell? Yeah, I wouldn't part with any of these either.

Well, I'm a bassist and not a guitarist but I do have a yearning for a Godin Acoustic/Electric with the midi hookup installed like a friend of mine has. Not sure of the model name/number.

ooh my friend dougal is obsessed with gibson firebirds and wants one really bad. i myself love the ibanez rg1077xl as i said in the other thread. it only costs 1000 pounds too, but thas a lot. im a big fan of ibanez's but i would also really like a PRS, i love that 'pre sucked lozenge' look that their bodies have hehe

I've posted this link before, but since this thread is about dream axes, this guy can do it any way you want it.....read his bio, he's the younger brother of a friend from church....and his first guitar is owned by a "little known" artist named Steve Vai. Mcswain Guitars This website is more fascinating to me for their basses, but they make regular guitars too. Adam Nitti is a client. Hey, Rob and DW, check out the listening room sound samples, some pretty good licks happening there- I like the R&B and Jazz ones the best- I guess they are supposed to highlight the tonal qualities of the different woods, but I get lost in trying to imagine the fingerings, then get brain cramps.... Warrior Guitars Enjoy! TY

Anyone ever played a Gretsch hollowbody electric? I've become rather intrigued by them since I purchased Brian Setzer's latest album.

Enjoy! TYOh, I own everything by Adam Nitti! If you want to hear some wild slapping, go check out Ray Riendou (in case you don't already know). Want to hear and see something even more freaky? Check out Quinton Berry !

Setzer makes some great music, and the Gretsch 59 is a major part of his sound. I love that tone.... I was in a band years ago (sort of an Allman Bros. style blues band) with a guy who had one, but I never played it. He said it had an action and playability very similar to a Gibson SG, which was his other axe...It obviously would "sit" differently on you, due to thickness, But they are thinner than an acoustic, so probably no big deal there either. I would think there may be one in a pawn shop up there somewhere, with your name on it. just waiting to be picked up LAter TY
