OK, looks like DW scored a nice hit on a Roland keyboard amp, which reminded me I had never posted pics of my "pawn shop" find, my Schecter Omen 6 lead guitar.

There was a thread about this almost two years ago, so I thought why not start a fresh one.

Anyway, here's the guitar.

The first pic is of the guitar with no flash, so you can see the sculpturing on the body...I like it, it looks like veins.

The second is with flash, so you can see the wood grain.
Plays great and sounds great too.

Anybody else want to post some ? \:D

PS, edited this post, since it's been an active thread, I was getting tired of seeing the same ol pic each time I opened the thread.... \:D

Not sure if I posted but here's a couple of items I've gotten since early summer. The first pic is of my Yamaha TRB1005 5 string bass which I got for aprox. $500 less than retail (inside connection)! The second is of the Yamaha mini rig I bought during the Musicians Friend Yamaha gear blowout! The head is a Yamaha BBT500 250w@4ohms/500w@2ohms ($399) and the cabs are Yamaha BBT110s 4ohm/250w handling ($149 ea.).

Three years and counting, no new gear. I'm not sure whether to be proud or disgraced.

Stingray 5
Aguilar 2X12
Sansamp RBI pre-amp
Yamaha CP2000 power amp.
BBE Sonic Maximizer
Sennheiser 372 Wireless

I'm always looking for something new, but being in a band that plays basically every weekend I'd simply be looking for something smaller without losing any headroom. I don't think it exists.

Well, Rob, if you're an Ohio State fan, be PROUD!

\:D \:D

Take some shots of your stingray, I'd like to see it!

DW, nice looking bass, man! I hope it plays as good as it looks.

Very fun game today! I can't believe we're not playing tonight!! We'd play Sloopy in every set. I was disappointed to hear Mike Hart dogging the Buckeyes afterward.

Here's a decent shot of my ray in action:

Nice Stingray. I may be looking into trying one out (or a S.U.B.). While I love my Yamaha, the wide string spacing is killing my hands! I find myself reverting back to my Tobias which has tighter string spacing.

Hey Rob-
Nice shot of a great bass, I've only heard good stuff about those. By the way, like your dance moves with Avril on Build Me Up Buttercup \:D :p \:D Seriously, looks like you guys are having a blast. Glad to see you guys are staying busy.
Sloopy would have the whole place up and dancing, even those with way too much juice in their systems... \:D
I have a request tho....you need to add Don't Fear The Reaper, (Blue Oyster Cult), Louie Louie (Kingsmen, I think) and Gimme Three Steps (Lynryd Skynyrd) and maybe some Stevie Ray Vaughn, if you're lead guy can handle it.

What a great game, tho, eh? Michigan kept battling back, but OS would answer. One of the best ball games I've seen in a good while. Anyway...

DW, yeah, the string spacing on some of the Yammys (especially the Patatucci series) can be huge. My Yamy 6 has them almost too close, very difficult to slap, although that rarely comes up these days.
I've been using my Warwick 5 mostly lately, plays great and spacing is perfect for me.
Mainly becuase the Yammy is soooo heavy (15 lbs) and it needs a new volume pot, getting lots of scratching sounds out of it when I raise or adjust volume.
Maybe I'll repost pics of them...

Well, I've made the decision to sell it or trade it for a 4 string bass of some sort or bass amp heads, cabs. If y'all know anyone who may be interested in the Yamaha TRB1005, please send them my way! I have some interest from a cat who has a '90 USA Fender Jazz Bass Plus (Lace Sensor p/u's/Kubicki pre) that he may trade for the Yamaha.

To be continued................

I love the Stingray, but it has to be your thing. I love the sound, but I also like the feel. I actually prefer the neck on my Yamaha, but I only play it when my shoulder is bothering me, so I haven't experienced any hand problems.

I got my Stingray at BassCentral for about $1400 (I think). That was 3 years ago and they had recently discontinued the Blue Dawn finish, so I was glad to get it.

Man, I gotta get some new videos. Those are old!!
