DW, that's killer!! Nice and smooth. My best and favorite Rips tune. Well, now I have relapsed. Hi, my name is Bruce, and I'm addicted to the song Aspen by the Rippintons. Kat, can you guys help me?

I muted the bass track of the midi file and played the bass live. Then converted the whole thing to an audio file. That is me playing the bass line. I actually did this years ago!

Let me tell you, at one time I was HUGE Rippingtons fan and would have died for a chance to play one song with them on stage! I learned every song, note for note! I've since given up that dream! And Spyro Gyra has kinda taken over that #1 fav band spot these days!

Dave, you da man! Sounds excellent. I too have learned a lot from brother Stone, he as a major inspiration for me....sounds like you could school a lot of folks on how it's done! Now, can you get your band to do it? Hmmmm....

Now, can you get your band to do it? Hmmmm.... Honestly, I don't think they could handle this music. I don't think they have jazz sensibilities. They'd be fighting hard to play this stuff. Plus we don't have a horn player.

I wanted to resurrect this thread to post a, converted from midi to audio, file of Curves Ahead I did over 12 years ago! I had to search through a ton of cassettes. I had always had plans to add a 'live' leads and bass on it but never got around to doing it. I no longer have the original midi file and there's no way I'm gonna try and do this over as it took me quite a while to figure out the chord voicings Russ used. Curves Ahead (DWBass version)

Good work, Dave. Except I didn't hear the sax or guitar parts. Just bass, drums and keyboards.
