You can hook up with any other players out there but it's totally YOUR choice on the type of recording/music.
Who would your bandmates be?
What type of music? (It would sound kind of like----?)

I'd love a one time hit with Spyro Gyra concentrating on either a Latin or Funk idea!

Hmmmm- interesting question. Well, for a lineup, it'd be me on bass, Dave Weckyl on drums, Steve Reid on percs, Russ Freeman on guitar, Jeff Golub on guitar, David Benoit on keys, the Tower of Power on horns, and Eric Marienthal on sax. Not sure on vocals, if there would be any, but if so they'd have to be powerful and good, nothing cheesy. Style would be latin/fusion/funk but toned down just enough to keep the cjazz fans with us...some "fusion" is too much shredding and not enough melody for me anyway. It would be about a 6 minute tune, too, not so long that it gets repetitive, but long enough for a few short well placed solos by different band members. Better stop now, real world calls.... TonyY

I'd put together a blues album. My rythym section would be Double Trouble(Drums-Chris Layton, Reese Wynans-Hammond B-3, Tommy Shannon-Bass). Pat Hayes of the Lamont Cranston Band on Blues Harp, David Sanborn on sax, and I'd invite guitarists Zakk Wylde, Larry Carlton, and Aerosmith's Joe Perry to trade licks with me. Now that would be fun!
