I read stuff like this, and the stuff about the major ownership groups paying for "fact finding" trips to resorts by members of the FCC right before the legislation regarding further media deregulation came and get a little more cynical every day. Now that it requires so much money to get elected in the first place, then requires more money to stay in office plus they have to start strategizing the next campaign even before they are settled into office it just further affirms my feeling that if someone can afford to run a campaign I don't want them in office. They will be so obligated to special interests and potential sources of campaign money that they are going to do considerable damage to their constituents when they get elected!!
