I just rented this DVD from our local library this week ( I know, I'm a few years off here, but bear with me) and I don't know how many of you have seen this updated version or not, but DAMN! I love it just as much as the first one, if not a little BETTER! The animation, music and concepts are just FANTASTIC! And, it has my favorite modern classical tune on it, Ira Gershwin's "Rhapsody In Blue". I just LOVE THAT SONG! Just a stunning masterpiece is what it is and I love the animation story they did for it. There is also one for those of us up here in the Pacific Northwest. The last piece is the "Firebird Suite" and you can tell it's about Mt. St. Helens before and after she blew up. You can recognize
( if you'd ever seen it BEFORE and AFTER the shape of it). Just a wonderful tribute to Nature and what it can take away from us but also give back to us so wonderfully! If you've not seen this, you need to go out and rent it. Now, I want to go out and buy the ORIGINAL AND the 2000! They are BOTH well worth owning, especially on DVD! Go out and check it out, people! You WON'T be disappointed!
