Saturday night 11/24 01 A&E presented the concert Sting performed 9/11 from his home in Italy. The first hour was " behind the scenes" .I sat through the whole thing - 3 hours and was moved by the special. I saw Sting a year ago - I'm glad I watched this . A " live " CD was also recorded and will be a great CD to own.

Well, I wouldn't say I watched it, the TV was on and I did listen but my nose was stuck in a Medical Terminology book at the time. I did take a break and catch the part about the discussion on if they should proceed with the concert on Sept. 11th. It was very touching and nice to see his "soft, generous" side. If it airs again, I would like to watch it all, I'm sure it's 3 hours well spent.

;( I wish I had....I was one of the unfortunate one's who found out it was on too late....they repeated it on Sunday night, but had family obligations so could not see it,and could not set up the VCR to tape it because now, our VCR will allow us to view tapes, but not tape them. Time to get a new one for Christmas, I guess. I heard it was so awesome. So sorry I missed it!

That was a great TV special. Specially like the Botti/Sting part of it. I heard the CD will be released on the 4th (December). I believe, the DVD, too.

I saw stacks of the DVD on the shelves at Best Buy last week. I read the reviews at Amazon.com just this week. They even have a package deal for Roger Water's In The Flesh DVD (to be released the 18th of this month) and the new Sting DVD for about $35. You save about $10. I have a sneakie suspicion I have a copy of Sting's new one under the Christmas tree as I write this. Sure hope it sounds better than Brand New Day - grrreat show, lousy audio.

Happy Holidays !

I just got the DVD and it kept me awake until 1 am last night. The documentary and extra tracks are all worth it.
Christian McBride and Chris Botti are also jazzin up the band.
One thing I appreciate in this concert is the "clean" acoustical approach (no synths or drum programming), you'll definitely enjoy watching it.
