I just noticed on Eric Marienthal's website that he lists a show in Portsmouth, VA with Paul on Feb. 12. That's my birthday, and Paul's playing just 2 hours from me...and I'll be in Hawaii for my birthday! Paul, you're killin' me here!! I can't believe I'm going to miss the show -- especially since the first time I saw Paul was for my birthday a few years ago when he was performing with Eric (and Euge Groove).

Oh, well, for all of you who get to go to the show, have a fantastic time!!

Although I hate that I'm going to miss seeing Paul in VA, I'll get to see Euge Groove in Huntington Beach this weekend on my overnight L.A. stop en route to Hawaii. Hopefully I'll get to see Paul on one coast or another soon.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. Hawaii was great, and I finally took the plunge and went skydiving over the Kauai coastline! What a rush!

And now I've returned to see that Paul will be playing in DC in March -- when I'll actually be in town to see him!! Now THAT's a great birthday present!
