Hi Paul,

Just got the Ripps CD yesterday -
way cool - awesome It's great to hear you, Ray, and " the Daves" again !!!

I started playing it at work and when
" Summer Lovers" played I just knew!!! - it was the " LIVE " from here in Cols. last summer.

Last night I checked it out and sure enough - it IS !!!!! How cool is that ?

I'm a happy fan
Cheryl.

I am tripping..I wasn't expecting to get a promo and I did, not only that but there was a copy of Hypnotic in the package too. Life is good
How did you find out which song was recorded where. The little symbols on the CD would seem to indicate that "Are We There Yet" was done in Melbourne, FL which is where I saw this tour. but I was also running about a 102 degree fever so I don't remember much. When I said that on the Rips BB someone who wanted me off that BB posted a comment that was so incredibly cruel that I quit posting on the Ripps BB..so I'm glad the topic came up here.
Im glad this CD is as good as it is because I need something to listen to when I drive to the beach to do my plant care route..I was driving into the sunrise/sunset to AArt but after I got pulled for speeding I decided it was best not to drive to that one for a while.

Hi Shannon,

Promo pack - excellent - good for you.
Let me know IF you see any " posters " / Billboard ads promoting this new CD.
I have quite a collection and would like to add this one to it.

I e- mailed Larry - no news yet about a Poster.

I don't have your private e- mail - but you can e and ask Anita about the " Summer Lovers" info.

It is a great CD - I listened all afternoon yesterday while waitng for a meeting.
I am very happy it's here !
Life Is Good for me too

I bought mine at Border's for 13.99 - pre- ordered from Amazon as well - but that did me no good as it is not here yet....
- - what's up w/ that ? hummm.

I saw Paul perform with the Rippingstons in Washington, DC. I am assuming "Hideaway" was recorded there. It is amazing how they were able get such great live recordings. My favorite is "Road Warrior" because I like how the sax blends in with the keys and creates a really big sound. The liner notes are a little cryptic.

Cheryl..no posters, theres a little promotional flyer that came with it that has a picture of the CD cover and a bunch of promotional/marketing info on it. If you want it I can send it to you..I don't collect this stuff and in the ongoing battle I have with paper clutter at my house the paper clutter is winning.

Yes Shannon,

I'm interested. Thanks! Anita has my home address - she can give it to you as well as my e- mail address.

I know what you mean w/ the paper stuff- sheeeeesh the mail we get these days is incredible and such a waste. IF I get one more pre- approved credit card envelope ....

Thanks again for the Ripps mail.
Cheryl

wow! heard a taste of the Live CD. wasn't having a very good day. the phone rings and its gwenn playing a CD in the background. she says hold on and the next thing i knew a hear a closer sound and it's kim stone tearing up the bass strings and i could just imagine seeing those faces he makes that i love (HI KIM! ). then i recognize paul cutting up on that horn. i mean really showing out! these brothers are tight (as shiff says)! it's "jewel thieves" they're performing.

heard a bit of summer lovers too. didn't know whether to stay seated or dance around my computer chair. i was feeling better, lots better. shoot, way cool better! i went from this to this in a split second. just hearing that live ripps sound took me back again. now i'm hyped and can't wait to see another show. and to top it off, gwenn is sending me my own cd just because. what a sweetie. thanks gwenn for making my day . you're such a good friend. i needed that. can't wait to get it so i can hear the live version of "Rain", with bill heller on key and paul on sax. one of my favs!

all i have to say is, if you are fortunate enough to catch paul or the ripps perform live, don't wait, just go!

Hi Chandra,

I am really enjoying this CD - it brings back so many great concert memories.

In fact after listening many times, I think that some of the " live" tracks are much better then the originals. Russ and his guitar just pops through on some better as do all the solo's .

It was well worth the wait and is bringing a smile to my face everyday

Great advice to all the BBS ; get to these shows!!!!

The Rippingtons / with possibly Paul ? will be in Cols. OH in May!!

Happy Wednesday,
Cheryl

hi cheryl!
received my cd, yippie!
i have to agree the "live" version is awesome and yes brings back so many memories. just like being there. skipped tracks to hear my fav "rain", but eric was playing the sax part. i love erics version and i know i'm gonna get in trouble for this, but paul just brings a different tone to that tune. love ya eric! that cd definately changes your mood and uplifts you. i was up late last night washing dishes and was able to finish in no time .

i think it was really cool for russ to dedicate the cd to fans across america. i appreciate that so much because i really love the the music and the guys behind it all. the cd does bring a smile to your face . russ is really awesome on that guitar!!

hey paul, man you were jam'n and sound soo great on and the crowd just loved ya! way cool! i hear gwenn screaming in the background .

HEY TVNEWSMAN Where are you buddy???
