I don't usually get a chance to listen to his weekly show but what has this guy been doing? I don't hear about him collaborating with other musicians much so why so long between releases? What direction is he going with the new release? Loved the 2nd release but didn't care for "Off Beaten Path." When is the new release due out?
Thanks.

I just saw DK in concert last Friday with Al Jarreau and Chris Botti. What a great show! It was so much fun. The guys really got the audience pumped up. Anyway, DK has a new CD coming out in Sept. and Chris Botti will be joining him on at least one of the tracks.

I saw the same concert Sunday night and was really suprised. I thought Dave K. would have become real mellow since he is so tied in with the corporate Smooth Jazz crowd but the 2 new songs he did were really hot. One with Chris Botti that was softer but was a real song (not one of these Smooth Grooves all over the radio where you sit waiting for the song to start and it never does) and was beautiful and the song he said was the first single flat out rocked..I don't know if he is going to be putting out a "toned down" version for radio or what but this one had energy to go and a great melody. I was thrilled, he is so "in group" that he may be able to sneak a little life into a stodgy format with this song.
