Just listen to The Sound of Jazz FM 2008, a big basket of soul and smooth jazz perfectly selected.

This week I'm enjoying:

1. "Greenhouse" - Yellowjackets (GRP, 1991)
2. "Dreamland" - Yellowjackets (Warner Bros., 1995)
3. "30" - Gold Company (2008 - www.wmich.edu/goldcompany)
4. "While We're Young" - Gold Company (2000)
5. "Solid" - Gold Company (2000)
6. "Soular Energy" - Ray Brown Trio (Concord, 2006)
7. "The Work Song" - Nat Adderley (Riverside, 1960)
8. "the Brasil Project-Vol. 2" - Toots Thielemans (Private Music, 1993)

You simply have to give a listen to Gold Company. An absolutely incredible jazz vocal ensemble, and probably the most highly regarded college vocal jazz program around. Just follow the link and enjoy their video, available CD releases, and the joy they bring to jazz!

Drew Davidsen - This Journey. A smooth jazz guitar deserves a listen.

The West Point Band's Jazz Knights - At First Light

Branch rivalries notwithstanding, here's one time I have to say: Go Army!
Big band sound. Mostly original songs.
