to tell the truth I like the Jacksonville Lineup better: Maysa, Boney, Tower of Power, Peter White, Bob Baldwin, Chris Botti, Ramsey Lewis and Nancy Wilson, Jane Monheit, Joshua Redmans new progressive band and Pieces of a Dream..plus ongoing straightahead jazz at a nearby venue..and it's free! Free is always good!

Shannon, I am with you on the free part and to top it off George Duke is at City Jazz Universal Studios tonight and it is Free. Florida is slowly getting back into the swing of things and it is about time.

I think I'm going to pass on Capital this year and do America's Jazz Fest @ Merriweather instead. It's 5/31 and 6/1 - the weekend before Capital. http://www.smoothjazz1059.com/listingsentry.asp?id=78386&pt=concerts I thought I heard them say on the radio that they've added Steve Oliver, but I'm not sure. I was getting ready for work, and only halfway listening, so I don't know if that's what I heard. I hope it was. I'm just ticked off about those (censored word) Ticketmaster service charges. Burns me up!

that is a great lineup too..
If you actually go to a ticket outlet that has a ticketmaster computer and buy your tickets you can save a lot of money on service charges even if you are buying for an out of town concert..I always go in person here and there is one little service charge but ordering online I have had as much as 15 bucks in SCs tacked on..as opposed to about 2.50. It's worth the drive..
