Any Jango fans out there?

Just picked up the "Dreamtown" CD, and I love it. "With Your Love" is the one tune you might have heard on the radio, but that is not a true reflection of the group's talent. It's a good tune, but the rest of the CD is better.

If you like Steely Dan, you will be impressed with Jango. Musically and lyrically, SD's influence on the group is incredible, and they even pay homage to Becker and Fagen with
a few lyrics based on their tunes.

Check them out online at Samson Music web page.

I picked up the cd a few days ago during a stop at a local music dealer. They had it on one the listening stations, so with not much else to do, I decided to give it quick listen. I was looking for someone new and was very pleased with what I had heard. None of the stations in this area are playing it, but maybe in six to eight months. I agree that they do justice to the Steely Dan sound, but also add a sound of their own. It is loaded up now with some of my regulars. While you are at it check out the Brian Culbertson cd "Something About Love" and a nifty sounding r&b flavored cd from Earth, Wind and Fire lead singer Philip Bailey. I really like his treatment of the Van Moorison tune "Moondance".
