For those of you who love jazz fusion, you should check out the group "Sweetbottom" They did a release in about 2003 on the Urban Island Music label called "SweetBottom--Live the Reunion." Features a terrific ensemble including Darryl Steurmer on guitar, Warren Weigratz on saxophones, Duane Stuermer on bass and a keyboardist and drummer whose names escape me presently.

"Sweetbottom" was popular in the late 70s and this was a reunion release. It's very good.

I started out the new year with:

Spyro Gyra "Good To Go-Go"(been out of the CD mix for Christmas music)...it is still fresh, one of the bands best, it seems.

Ronnie Montrose "Open Fire"....his first of many forays in to guitar driven jazz fusion....I would describe it as being in the vein of Jeff Beck's Wired and Blow By Blow and the third one with Jan Hammer(There and Back), bu the scope of the music is much broader,

Paul

I had this album back in the late 70's. Played the hell out of it. It was definitely under the radar back then. Good stuff.
