Yaaaaay!!! The label said I could put two songs up now..so I did. High Noon (the radio trak) and Festevo (my favorite song on the CD and the one I think will grab peoples ears the fastest and make them hit that click to buy button). Due to the DMCA (copyright regulations for internet broadcast) I can't say when these songs are going to play or how often but I can say they are in there:)

Cool that the label gave me the go ahead because unless there is a radio person who actually has control of their show content and has the CD (if so they are blessed and should put it on their gratitude list every day!) this may mean the first airplay went on an internet station..which I think is destined to be the best venue for Contemporary/Smooth jazz instrumentals in the future.

ooh..this is cool. The site randomly lists 5 songs from your 'cast every day to give people an idea of the type of music you play and today (5/22) one of the songs listed is from Blake Aaron.

Way to go Shannon,And I must say way to go for myself. After two weeks, registering three times and the sites upgrade I get to finally post.Wow what a busy board with so much information and contrasting view points that it will make it fun to be a part of.Saw Steve Cole last Thursday night at Shank Hall in Milwaukee and what a great show it was.High energy, great interaction with his band mates and lots of humor to boot. The show reminded me very much of the show Paul Taylor put on a couple weeks ago at ARJ's.These two difinitely no how to work the crowd and get everyone involved.Friday I'm off to San Diego to see Craig Chaquico and a host off other talented musicians and will be reporting when I get back depending on how sober I stay.I also plan on doing a little promoting of Daryl Stuermer while I'm down there and for those of you who aren't familar with Daryl you can visit my internet radio station on live365.com named Upbeat And More or visit House Of Blues, HOB.com to view a web cast of his Summerfest 2001 Show and lastly his own web site darylstuermer.com Take care everyone and see you when I get back Fishman.

I really like Shannon's internet station, but I am wondering if anyone else is having any problems with it cutting out? Sometimes, I have no problem for 1/2 hour or so, and sometimes, like this morning, I had to re-start it about 5 times in 2 minutes. \:\( I don't think it is my computer, since it is brand new, and I don't have any problems on other music sites, but it has to be something that's not quite right. Is it just the format; sometimes, it just happens that way, or what?

Yes, it is cutting out and on Saturday it seemed to be doing that really often. I listen to a lot of internet stations and they all seem to do that.
All the songs on my 'cast are configured correctly and should not be stopping or rebuffering the 'cast but when I listen it seems to stop on SpecialEFX Seduction and on David Sanborn's "So Far Away". It used to lock up on Will Donato's "Tropico" which was a pain since one of the reasons I put the station up was to showcase emerging artists by tossing them in with a bunch of name artists, therefore "sneaking up" on the listners with the cool fresh stuff.

If any of you are listening and it locks up, drops off or goes into rebuffering and you think of it please email me with what song did it (especially if it was one of the 2 songs mentioned above)

I think the reason Shannon's radio station does this is that for some of us who have ancient computers that aren't so fast or have Windows 95 or 98 on slower computers, it's because her internet is broadcast on a fast 56K mode, and some of these older computers like mine have problems with that to begin with. Who knows, I could be right, I could be wrong, but hers is the only internet radio station I have this problem with and I did notice hers is a faster 56K speed program. So, that's why I think this may be it! Sorry Shannon, not dissing your station, love it, but think this may be why some of your listeners are having this problem, is all, hon!

I put it at 56k because I didn't want to shut out a lot of people. Several of my favorite stations on Live365 are for high speed modems (T1/DSL) only and I can't listen at home..but you're right..if you are lower than 56k you may not be able to listen at all. But the decline in quality is really bad at below 56k so I didn't want to go any lower..If you have lower than 56k ceck out KRIP..which is done by a rippingtons fan and is 28k. ..Fishman's web station is on the SteveO bandwagon now too..! Got to get *all* the CJazz/Smooth Jazz stations on it now!

Ok, at least I know it's not my computer, or there is something more I could do. Yes,I have a 56K with DSL, so we're ok there. I'll try to remember to email you and let you know what songs it does it to.

Thanks.
