Picked this one up today and was pleasantly surprised. "Smooth" to be sure but tastefully done by the guitarist. He also employs some popular support players including saxophonists like Kim Waters, Walter Beasley, Bill Evans and Spyro's Jay Beckenstein. Bob James sits in on one track as well.
Highlights for me was some excellent guitar work by Loeb and nice vocal contribution by Loeb's wife, Carmen Cuesto on the title cut "Listen." Loeb also does an arrangement of the well-known Russell Ferrante Yellowjacket piece "Geraldine" that comes across very nicely.
Would have preferred more stuff like the excellent #4 track "Right Down Broadway." Loeb's guitar work is excellent here. Give it a listen.
