Mandi...Sounds like we were only a few seats away. We, too, were in the first row of theater seats. Row A, seat 13 to be exact. About 2 minutes to 8:00pm we were directed to those very front chair seats. But the refrigerator with legs that was occupying the seat wasn't about to move. As it turned out we were one row behind those chair seats. So if we had row A I wonder what row the seats in front of us were?

Was Keiko awesome or what??

Steve,
Why did they want you to move?
Keiko is great. She's very serious isnt she?
Her saxman said he trys to get her to lighten up .Trys to get her to smile & such..
he's from New York.
Paul..... he was playing on a Yamaha soprano also .Not sure if the serial# was the same as yours. His Alto was about a "1962".
Someday i'll have a soprano
Steve, did you stay and talk to Keiko?

It's probably the Yamaha YSS-62 soprano which seems to be very popular among sax players. Pros seem to stick with older sax models like the Selmer VI alto.

Saxmandi - What do you mean about Boney and 5 security guards? Did somebody hurt him before?

Those of you commenting above about Keiko Matsui ... perhaps you could provide some information for me. What are the names of saxophonist, guitarist and bassist currently touring with her band?

I could not discern their names when she introduced them due to audience noise and her tendency to be very soft-spoken.

Hi ,

Got to see Boney - Friday night 3/29.
Full of energy - upbeat show.

Anyone know names of his percussionist and drummer.? He introduced his drummer as ??________ best known for his work with George Duke. The two of them played a good 5-10 minute duet --
Those two were "ON" when they finished their " mini-show" they met half- way - all smiles and a huge hug for each other.

People were up dancin - Boney came into the audience - only 2 security w/ him - lots of audience interaction.

Great night.
