Hi all!!
I'm new to the board. Have been a Rips fan since their formation. I'm not as die hard as alot of you are. Hence I've only seen them once.
That was in 1991 or maybe 92. They played the Demaurier Jazz Festival at Roy Thompson Hall on Toronto Canada. Russ and the boys opened the show followed by Michael Franks and closed out with Grover Washington Jr.(who sadly passed away this past year).
The Rips kicked ass and played for about an hour.Most of songs were from their new album then,Weekend in Monaco.I knew then the Rips future was so bright they had to wear shades.Keep jammin Russ and thanks for the fond memories. Gregg
