Guys , I was thinking, What if the SG lineup changes?. What or how will the the sound be affected ?. Will we get used to the sound of a new member?

Gosh, Eril, I hope you don't know something that we don't. Perhaps some of us could accept a possible addition to the band on a temporary-type basis but I couldn't possibly imagine eliminating a current member and replacing them. I sit here and think that Jay and Tom are not replaceable, period! However, I thought Steve Reid was irreplaceable but they did it, and they still call them The Rippingtons. How about it guys? If The Schuu' got hit by a truck (God forbid!) and, say, Rob Mullins replaced him, could you still call it Spyro Gyra? Hard to imagine.

Don't worry steve, I just want to know what will be the reaction of you and the rest of the guys. I my case I'm very, very but very jealous with the sound of the band. For exmaple, when julio lefted the band, I wasn't sure if i was going to like Jay Azzolina. And I didin't. When Oscarand richie lefted the band, it happened the same but I really like Joel and Scott.I agree with you, Tom and Jay are the main ingredients from SG, AND GOD FORBID THEIR ABSENCE.

Going to what you said about Steve Reid, Well you know I'm Puerto Rican and i didn't like his playing that much. That doesn't mean that he did a good job but, I saw them here last June and the new guy fits just right. It's only a matter of opinion.

over the first several years, there were several changes and/or combinations for different songs. But this group's been together longest of any combination. I think any changes now would be pretty hard to get used to.
i mean, ultimately i will get use to it.
