this has to also be my favorite off the new release. I have seen spyro twice in the past couple of months and they have been performing this and it sounds great. Joel starts the song and plays most of it on a stand up "Tito Puente'ish" percussion set up out front and finishes behind on the kit.

Chris,

Without seeing the setup, it's hard to be sure, but pehaps Joel start on timbales(Puente's staple) and then moved to the full drum kit.
Still my favorite on the new record, I am looking forward to hearinfg and seeing it performed live.
However, I hope that by the time the tour gets to SoCal, the band replaces "Got The Magic"(the title track) with "Sierra"...which is a superior track anyway, and the vocals are great, which, in my opinion, is not the case with "Got The Magic"...the repeated vocal line doesn't do a thing fro me except make me cringe, and not many Spyro songs have that kind of negative effect on me!
Peace!
Paul
