I've often wondered about how much a "touring" band like SG makes for a concert date? I know it varies per venue (seating capacity, etc.) but I usually attend Spyro's concerts in Glenside, PA's Keswick Theater. The tickets go for $28.50. When the Keswick is sold out (as it usually is for SG) there are about 1400 filled seats indicating the ticket take to be in the $40,000 range.

I wonder what bands of this stature bring in for such a date? Any of your guys have any idea of a figure? What about in your venue?

not to mention their overhead just to get them to come play somewhere...i wonder how much that is...

I remember a buddy of mine was trying to secure a band for some celebration at the University of Oregon....this was oh, 10-12 years ago....and he said that Spyro Gyra got a bout as much at that time as a rock band named Kansas.....about $20,000 per gig.
