In 1992, just after the release of Three Wishes, I saw SG at the Dock on the Reservoir, near Jackson, Miss. It was a very intimate setting as the audience was primarily on a large dance floor. In other words, when the crowd shifted, my girlfriend (now my wife) stood less than six feet from the stage -- real close to Scott and Julio. The band was the same as it is now, except Dave was still traveling with it. During that performing, Jay introduced a song written by Julio called "Please Don't Go." It was a very sharp, blues-oriented piece. I had hoped it would show up on a later recording, but I haven't heard it since. Have any of you guys heard it? I'm particularly interested because I live in the Mississippi Delta, which is pretty much synonymous with the blues. Read: I'll try anything to get a sponsor interested in bringing SG to an arena fairly close to home, and I think blues music could be the hook.

Yes,

I remember that one....it positively was so hot it melted the stage lights one night...another day, at an outdoor show, a flock of seaguls were flying past Julio's amp during Julio's solo break, and it was so intense, the birds disintegrated!!!

If I remember correctly, Jay said that the song was created live onstage during an equipment failure(I can't remember if it was Jay's reed, Schuu's keys, or Dave's vibes), but they improvised the song on the spot, not wanting the audience to go(I'll bet money it worked!!!!)

Julio said in an interview or cyberchat that he hopes it makes a future Spyro recording...I hope it does, but the band is so forward thinking, it's much more possible that we hear it in concert in the future, not on record.....still there is the possibility of BOTH a studio rendition, and some searing live versions.

Peace!
Paul

I had the blessing to listen to "Sea Biscuit" and "Latin Streets" at the '85 Concert that SG gave here in San Juan.

Julio was awsome in his solo and Tom also Gave a mini solo concert with his "moog liberation". he even walked through the seats and played for the people that was siting there.

Wow!! That was an awsome one.

Eril.
